Tips for trouble-free stamping
Instructions - Read Before Stamping
Oils are the number one problem when stamping. Even oil from your skin sometimes can be enough to hinder the polish from being picked up or applied.
1. When getting ready to stamp, clean the nail, image disk and stamper with nail polish remover. This makes sure they are clean of all oils. If you are wearing a base color applied at an earlier time, you can clean your nails with alcohol to remove all oils from the surface.
2. If the image is not going onto the stamper , buy 100% acetone nail polish remover. Make sure there are no additives such as moisturizers or proteins. Additives can contain oil, which will stop the stamper from picking up the image. If experiencing problems “Equate Regular” nail polish remover is known to work and can be found at Walmart and many other stores.
3. Before applying polish to the disk, make sure you have everything you need and you know what you are going to do, as the polish dries very quickly.
4. Only stamp with Konad stamping polish. Do not use Konad stamping polish as a base polish.
5. Apply plenty of polish to the image disk.
6. Scrape off excess polish using pressure at a 45 degree angle.
7. Lightly roll the stamper over the image plate to pick up the image.
8. When stamping the polish onto your nail press firmly and roll the stamper from one side of your nail to the other.
9. When printing a french tip or a whole nail print you can remove the polish that gets on the finger by using a Q-tip with nail polish remover.
10. The stamper when new or over time may have problems picking up the polish. If this should happen lightly rub the rubber stamper with a nail file a few times and then clean it with nail polish remover. (This does not happen often, the problem is normally oil in the nail polish remover.)
11. To extend polish life, store in cool areas.
